Bouncing Around

28/09/16 – I turned up at Gamston hoping to do another hour of solo circuits. I had three to do in total but the weather wasn’t looking very promising, windy and cloudy. I went up and did a couple with Luke but it was pretty uncomfortable, we were getting bounced around a lot everywhere in the circuit, and I told him I’d rather not do solo circuits as I’d not be happy about it. So instead we went for a bit of a revision flight.

We  did some more instrument work, flew through some clouds including with the Direct Vision (DV) window open so I could touch the cloud with my hand 🙂 We also practiced power off landings and chalked the day up to just spending time in the plane. Any day spent flying is better than a day spent not flying after all, even if you don’t get to do what you expected!

If you want to know more, the podcast, as always, contains an expanded version of the above.
